South Wales Trauma Network
‘Serving the Population of South Wales, West Wales and South Powys’
A 1 day course using simulation based scenarios to demonstrate and understand behaviour and complexities of leading trauma teams.
With the development of the Major Trauma Centre in UHW and a Major Trauma Network across South Wales, we are providing a TTL Course. Available for Emergency Medicine Consultants and final year Higher Specialist Trainees.
We will be covering human factors involved in leading highly efficient and well-structured trauma teams and there will also be practical sessions for common emergency procedures such as Resuscitative Thoracotomy and Front of Neck Access.
The day will be run by consultant colleagues from within the network and invited guests from established Major Trauma Networks nationwide.
The course is fully funded, but due to limited space a £50 deposit will be required upon registering which will be refunded upon receiving your Certificate of Attendance at the end of the day.
This will be the first of three courses before the major trauma network go-live date with future course dates expected to take place in Swansea University before returning back to Cardiff Universities WIMAT centre. The future course dates will be released soon.
